Here are a few shots of the Anywhere Desk as a scale model. Each layer is constructed with doubled plywood for thickness and sanded to round off the edges. The center dowels are thin and square to avoid movement. However, it was discovered that this ratio is rather unstable and in a future model, I think the center dowel would instead be metal rods for stability. After some brainstorming from peers, there were also some ideas around a future model potentially being adjustable in height, or having the ability to rotate each section to create smaller sub-shelves, when desired. All super great ideas! I loved watching this design come to life and appreciate all of the fresh ideas for its future possibiltes!
