Castle

This is my first creation using Rhinoceros 6. It's some kind of castle, but I was mostly focused on playing with as many different shapes as I could.

I tried to incorporate all of the basic commands I have learned so far, like lofting between different shapes to create some wacky twisted ones. I found tools like Grid Snap and SmartTrack helpful at times, but I know some tasks would have been much simpler if I knew more about the commands. I struggled to create some objects because I knew how I wanted it to look, but not what tools to use, or how to use them. That Gumball feature is a necessity though, makes it so easy to navigate and reposition the curves!

Beyond using basic shapes, I tried to combine items to make slightly more complex shapes. Such as an oval on top of a rectangle to make an archway. I also used symmetry to my advantage by using a long rectangular prism to then use BooleanDifference and create windows on two opposing sides of the castle.

Overall I found Rhino super fun to use and explore. Over the course of this project I definitely got more comfortable with the most basic controls of the program but there is still so much for me to learn!
