Full Scale Model (week 2)

Our homework for this week was to each create our own iteration of a parametric display/storage shelf. My design uses a very geometric frontal aesthetic.

The front sheet has circular cutouts to create the illusion of ellipse-shaped shelves. Although, the rest of the sheets all have flat bottoms in each ellipse to create a level shelf for storing objects.

Every other sheet would be stained to create a striking contrast between layers and draw attention to its parametric design feature. The sheets are rendered to be the proper thickness of our material provided, but the height, width, and amount of layers may vary depending on our supply after we do the math of nesting our cutouts.

Not everyone was able to get their designs done by Wednesday as planned. So we decided to wait until class to narrow down our favourites and give everyone a chance to get their ideas in.
