First Grasshopper Experience

GREAT FUN STUFF! I remembered that frustrating feeling when something isn't working properly and you have to retrace your steps to try and figure out what you did wrong. For example, my arcs wouldn't loft together and I realized some of the lines were touching/overlapping, once I fixed them I was able to loft them properly. Problem-solving was good and it helped me understand the process of Grasshopper better when I had to do the same task 2 or 3 times. It seems easy enough to follow instructions when the tutorial walks you through it step by step but I do think it will be a bit of a learning curve for me to remember by myself what commands to use and where to plug in the proper information.

I felt like I understood everything quite well up till this point. I don't think I fully understand the benefits of gradients and colouring your lines. Can you use gradients to colour surfaces like a lofted object?

I thought my arches looked like a fun sort of dowel shape. So I played with it in Rhino which also helped jog my memory of some processes in Rhino by itself, and I made it into a simple little wooden table :)

Super excited to get more comfortable with this program. Being able to go back and fix or change any of your previous steps seems like it will come in handy A LOT. I am curious to learn more about baking your design preview into Rhino and how/when that information should be made 'real'. Can you bake something more than once, or at different stages of creation?
